Premier Launches Tasmanian Bicentenary 2004

Today at the official launch of the Tasmanian Bicentenary 2004, the Premier Jim Bacon said there was an impressive amount of research, ideas, imagination, and innovation in Tasmania's Bicentenary program.
"2004 will be an extremely exciting, informative and interesting time to be in Tasmania."
The Bicentenary web site and online events program, designed and developed by Ionata, was released to coincide with the official launch of the Tasmanian Bicentenary 2004.
The official booklet of Bicentenary events will be released on January 10.
IRIS Tasmania Wins Gold

Ionata was part of the team that developed the IRIS (Infrastructure and Resource Information Service) web site and supporting services which include a metadata repository, map viewer and the BizTas business directory.
In September, IRIS Tasmania won a coveted Gold Award at the Sixteenth Annual Government Technology Productivity Awards Presentation Ceremony in Sydney. The award was presented in recognition of the IRIS website, which provides a single access point to current, integrated information about Tasmania.
Earlier in September, IRIS Tasmania also won an Australian Institute of Project Management Achievement Award.
Key Contacts Directory Released

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) contracted Ionata to develop a Key Contacts Directory and Organisational Chart, leveraging the information DHHS upload to the Tasmanian Government Directory Services (TGDS).
Ionata delivered an application that automatically generate the key contacts directory and organisational chart every time the TGDS is updated.
This has resulted in a streamlined process for DHHS who now only have to maintain contact details on the TGDS, information in their key contacts directory is always up to date.

Tasmanian Government Communications Policy and Web Site Launched

Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Linda Hornsey, today lauched a Whole of Government Communications Policy. Supporting the policy is an online Style Guide and Tool Kit which includes an image library and resource repository developed by Ionata. The online Style Guide and Tool Kit features a design by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Style Guide and Tool Kit aims to assist staff in the Tasmanian public sector who are involved in communications activities and campaigns.
Ionata worked closely with the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Information Systems Branch who provided the design for the web site and managed the mark-up of the Communications Policy itself.
